Hardcore-influenced-thrash has produced some interesting resurts over the years. Remenber Max Cavalera and his Walkman cassette that had Discharge on one side and Hellhammer on the other? He throught that was totally normal and now we too understand the beauty of the perverted logic therein. Many bands have grabbed a bit of Sepultura and run with it, usually into a brick wall. Grim Force, however, seem to have got the balance just about right. Taking their cue from the 'Arise' and 'Chaos AD' era (though never as fast as the former), this Japanesetrio unleash a barrage of crudely effective riffsand shouty vocals, embellished with other random thrash ans early death metal influences. There's precious little in the way of variety but it's a smartly executed racket all the same.
